The LTE communication interface type IK-401 is a device operating in a 4G/3G/2G (TCP/ IP, UPD, FTP) network. It provides network infrastructure via an Ethernet port and three RS485 ports.

The device’s operating parameters can be modified both locally and remotely, through a web browser (with password-protected WEB server) as well as dedicated software. Remote management of the device’s operation is also possible using SNMP protocol or GAZ-MODEM 3.

The interface features an advanced mechanism for monitoring the correctness of the connection to the 4G/3G/2G network and a software update mechanism. The use of two SIM cards and two independent monitored power supply connections provides redundancy and improves the device’s reliability in the network. Due to typical stability issues in networks, the modem is equipped with a series of mechanisms to maintain a high quality connection, monitor, and if necessary, re-log the device into the network.

The IK-401 allows for the attachment of additional extension modules with NAMUR standard binary inputs, both normal and intrinsically safe, current outputs, and binary outputs.
